I feel like a lot of us have grown up with not the best idea of how good certain foods are for us, or conversely not realizing how not great some foods are for us.
I didn’t realize how vitamin and energy packed cabbage is until fairly recently. I figured that it was like iceberg lettuce because of how light green it can be. Nope! It turns out that cabbage is super high in essential vitamins like vitamins K, C, and B6. Super awesome, and it’s tasty!
We love how this easy and tasty this grilled cabbage recipe is. There are only 3 ingredients (you can, of course, add as you see fit), and it’s ready on the grill in about 30 minutes!
Grilled veggies are great because they don’t get mushy, which is why I think a lot of people don’t like veggies. They don’t like the sloppy, mushy mess that comes from steaming or boiling. Thankfully grilling and roasting exists to remedy those problems.

- 1 large head cabbage
- 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder, or to taste
- salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat grill for medium heat.
- Cut the cabbage into 8 wedges, and remove the core. Place all the wedges on a piece of aluminum foil large enough to wrap the cabbage. Season to taste with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Seal cabbage in the foil.
- Grill for 30 to 40 minutes on the preheated grill, until tender.
