peanut butter chocolate pretzels

Peanut Butter Chocolate Pretzels in just 5 Ingredients

I’m not going to insult your intelligence. Like, this isn’t a hard recipe, and I know that you all know how to make chocolate dipped pretzels. I love posting things like this though because it plants the seed in your brain. Like, “OH! Duh! Of course, I could just make these! This is perfect.” I remember finding a breakfast burrito recipe, and thinking, “I’m so glad someone posted this. I know how to make these. It’s not hard, but now the idea is in my head. I can do this for plan ahead meals! GREAT.” That’s what I’m hoping these peanut butter chocolate pretzels will be for you.

These peanut butter chocolate pretzels are sure to be a hit. One, it’s peanut butter and chocolate. We Americans love it. LOVE IT! Two, they’re easy and fun to make with kids. I would seriously consider doing these with my middle schoolers because it’s an active cooking activity. We might actually do something like this, and then maybe those Hershey’s kisses or hugs melted on top of a pretzel. Those are fun and delicious! Anyway you look at it, this is going to be delicious.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chocolate chips (I used milk chocolate)
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1 bag small pretzels (I used Rold Gold “Tiny Twists”)
  • ½ cup peanut butter chips
  • ½ teaspoon vegetable oil
 Instructions
  1. Combine chocolate chips and 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil in a microwave safe bowl.
  2. Melt for 30 seconds, then remove and stir. Keep microwaving in 15 second increments (stirring between) until the chocolate is melted completely.
  3. Dip pretzels in chocolate, and allow access to drip off (I used a plastic fork and broke off the two middle tines).
  4. Place covered pretzels on waxed paper and let cool for 30 minutes.
  5. Combine peanut butter chips and ½ teaspoon vegetable oil in a microwave safe bowl.
  6. Melt for 30 seconds, then remove and stir. Keep microwaving in 15 second increments (stirring between) until the chocolate is melted completely.
  7. Drizzle over top all the cooled chocolate-dipped pretzels.
  8. Let cool completely and serve. Makes about 3 dozen pretzels.
